AI for healthcare | AI4health is a key area of research at FAU, and represents the health node within the Bavarian Hightech Agenda. It encompasses interdisciplinary collaborations, particularly between computer scientists, engineers and clinicians. Key projects involve Siemens Healthineers and other industrial partners, addressing challenges in medical imaging, telemedicine, and sports medicine. The department AIBE plays a central role here, working on topics like Assistive Intelligent Robotics, safe AI, Neural Interfacing, computational imaging, and AI as diagnostic and assistive devices.
